We would like to inform you that the girls in the office will be taking part in the Race for Life event held at Heaton Park on Sunday 10th July 2011 to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
As many of you are aware Reddish Vale is a family run business, unfortunatly we have lost a number of family members to Cancer therefore the girls wish to do there part to raise money to help towards funding research which could lead to prolonging or saving future lives.
The Girls wish to raise £1,000 for the charity event, although this is a ambitious target with your help this may be possible.
Please find below links to Jemma’s and Alison’s race for life fundrasing pages, they were unable to do a combined entry so we ask that any amount could please be split between them both.
We thank you in advance for any donation made, however large or small it is greatly appreciated.

We are pleased to announce that Roy Tindall Jnr is now NEBOSH certified.
Roy passed the National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety in Feb 2011 after six months of intense learning. This particular qualification covers the main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards, and methods of control. Although over the past 5 years we have had a respectfully low number of on site accidents we feel there is always room for improvement and are confident that this qualification has given Roy the knowledge to introduce new Health and Safety measures within Reddish Vale in order to prevent future accidents.

Retail Refurbishment Workers exposed to asbestos at work. – 29th Nov 2010
Mitchells and Butlers Retail Ltd have been fined for exposing their workers to asbestos fibres while working on the White Horse pub in Darlington during a refurbishment project in September 2007.
The property had already been surveyed around two months earlier but the refurbishment specifications changed and so work needed to be done in further areas of the building that had not previously been surveyed.
The retail company knew that asbestos was present in the building from the results of the previous survey, yet failed to organise and provide a second asbestos survey for the new areas of the building. Had a further survey been carried out, the workers would have been aware that there was asbestos in the ceiling tiles in the pub kitchen, and not disturbed it.
The hearing took place in Bishop Auckland Magistrates Court and Mitchells and Butlers Retail Ltd pleaded guilty and were fined £14,001 and ordered to pay costs of £11,781.45, a total fine of £25,782.45.
Victoria Wise, HSE inspector, said “everyone who owns or operates commercial premises built prior to 2000 must ensure that a suitable and sufficient assessment for asbestos has been carried out prior to any construction work starting.”
If you need any free advice or you need asbestos survey to be carried out prior to any refurbishment works to a building. Contact www.reddishvale.co.uk This could have prevented exposure to the workers involved.
Have a good one to all my clients and friends in wales.
Reddishvale are recruiting asbestos operatives, with a minimum of two years experience & supervisors with four years experience. applicants can visit our website, www.reddishvale.co.uk or contact the office 0161 688 6444 for an application form references will be required.
This is unbelievable, but can you imagine working for a company that has little more than 600 employees and has the following employee statistics..
29 have been accused of spouse abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
9 have been accused of writing bad cheques
17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
84 have beenarrested for drink driving in the last year and collectively, this year alone, they have cost the British tax payer £92,993,748 in expenses!!!
Which organisation is this?
It’s the 635 members of the House of Commons,
The same groupt hat cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.
What a bunchof b……….. we have running our country
it says it all…
And just to top all that they probably have the best ‘corporate’pension scheme in the country!!
If you agree that this is an appalling state of affairs, please pass it on to everyone you know
